  • Submit manuscripts, up to eight poems of any length, to Darkling Publications, 28780 318th Avenue, Colome, SD 57528


  • Epic length poetry must be of exceptional quality and content to be considered.


  • All correspondence must be accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope. Include email address if available.


  • Submissions read October to April. Submissions received outside this timeframe will not receive prompt answers.


  • Profanity should be used with extreme caution, and should be inherently necessary to the piece in order to be considered. Gratuitous profanity will merit no response whatsoever.


  • Pornography of any sort will not be considered and will merit no response whatsoever.


  • Submissions of photography or other artwork should be submitted in the form of no less than a 5X7 black and white photograph. E-mailed photos should be saved at no less than 200 dpi. Any number of photographs or photographs of other media may be submitted.


  • The editors of Darkling Publications reserve the right to alter these guidelines at any time.

Darkling Publications considers serious work from serious artists, and publishes only the best of the best alongside work from artists we feel show great promise but are early in their writing careers. Please submit only what you feel is your best work; Darkness has many veins, sinews, and bloodlines, so show us the best of your dark art.
